The Management Committee of Recovery Rocks Community Inc. wishes to advise all its members and interested people that effective immediately we will no longer be offering our weekly peer support group and monthly social gatherings.
With limited capacity and resources we can no longer sustain these activities. We will however continue offering our monthly newsletter, website and Facebook page, whilst following our recruitment process to find more management committee members. We will keep you posted with our future endeavors.

Trust you are all well, and navigating life as you know it, in the best way you can. It is a pleasure to reconnect with you all via our newsletter and website.
In this months jam packed edition we reflect on finding motivation to change, with Lizzie’s chosen quote and our recovery tip. You will find an invitation to join us for some fun on our upcoming retreat with a final reminder to get your registration forms in by the 1st of September. We share news of change that has occurred on our management committee as we acknowledge a recent resignation and plan for future recruitment.
We work towards getting a more active online presence by asking you to support us via social media on Facebook by joining our closed group and visiting our website. We also share other ways you can get involved in person by attending RRCi and our supporters events.

It will be commence 11 am on Fri 28th and conclude at 4 pm on Sunday 30th September 2018. You can come for part of any of the days or stay overnight, one night or two.

The retreat is for anyone aged 18 or over, members and non members, who choose to pursue a life of personal recovery, and who want to share what works for them and learn more about what can help through peer support.

The Recovery Rocks Community Inc (RRCi) is pleased to offer an exciting 5 day training course called ‘LISTENING DIFFERENTLY’, and is based on the principles of Intentional Peer Support.
Intentional Peer Support is a way of thinking about and inviting transformative relationships. Practitioners learn to use relationships to see things from new angles, develop greater awareness of personal and relational patterns, and support and challenge each other in trying new things
This training is open to all members (New membership applications welcome), whom fulfill our current application criteria.
This course shall be held on the 14th – 15th June, and 19th – 21st June

RRCi is also pleased to announce we have updated our site and included a ‘Volunteers’ page; another avenue people in our community can to support, further develop our community and be active community participants.
We encourage everyone to read about the different ways people can volunteer with us and learn more about our ‘Onboarding Process’; to introduce our new volunteers to our organisation and create a better understanding of our values and purpose, and also the gain necessary knowledge and skills required in the volunteer roles.
